As the true state of our society is being unveiled, it has become clear that preexisting conditions which have been ignored for far too long are now being illuminated. However, there's one thing that isn't being addressed and that is the state of our children.

What is causing them to operate from such a violent and disrespectful place? Some of them are acting out in ways that many of us who grew up before the 80’s would have never given a second thought to engage in such behavior. As a mother and an educator, I cannot stand by idly, and not at the very least, say something. While I do my very best to redirect their attention to be responsible and to do something positive with their lives, as I continue my mission, I find that I'm not enough to win this battle.

My hope is that after you read this message you too will see why it is imperative to, not only say something, but that we as a nation come together to do something to help them and to help them see their worth.
